Designed as a central hub for the administrative, manufacturing, and distribution networks of Maui Jim and Kering Eyewear, the new headquarters has been carefully crafted to maintain the relaxed and hospitable atmosphere of Maui Jim while introducing the refined care for quality for which Kering Eyewear is renowned. A central gathering space joins the upper main entry, the lower employee entry, and all interior spaces to promote daily connection between all departments. The Lab and Warehouse are partially submerged in the landscape both to take advantage of the earth’s natural insulating properties, and to obscure their larger masses from the main entry, presenting a smaller, pavilion-like office and amenity space as you enter the campus.
