Emerson Automation Solutions (EAS) in Round Rock has a tenured history of innovation and development. Years ago, Fox developed an original hybrid office environment that led to the invention of the Delta-V, Emerson’s most successful and profitable product. The premise, providing two-person offices with whiteboards and mounting tracks, allowed teams to collaborate and rapidly prototype hardware and software. Today the Delta-V is as relevant and successful as day one but faces an increasing amount of new and innovative competition.

In hopes to reinvigorate its culture of innovation and inform the next big product, EAS sought to develop the next evolution of its office environment. Nex-Gen provides similar, two-person offices for focus work at the perimeter of a central, collaborative hub. The hub features two ‘zones’: one that is centered on an expansive markerboard surface to support rapid agile processes, while the other provides comfortable seating around a mobile monitor, offering a more relaxed, informal setting.

By creating an environment which seamlessly joins the focus and collaborative functions of the team’s work, Nex-Gen provides Emerson with an agile workspace that will lead to its next generation of successful products.
