The Integrated Operations Center – iOps for short – was designed to be an immersive and interactive environment for Emerson Automation Solutions to meet with customers and showcase their products and services. Situated between two five-story office towers and a parking garage, the iOps serves both to guide visitors into Emerson’s offices, and to link the office towers. The organic and curvilinear interior space contrasts the exterior’s simple, rectilinear massing inspired by the vocabulary of the existing campus.

Once inside the iOps, spaces flow progressively from one to another and customers visiting the center move seamlessly from product displays, to product demonstrations, to presentation spaces. Dining and lounge spaces are scattered along the perimeter to support the primary functions and serve to host informal breakouts throughout the visitor’s journey. Centered within the iOps is a fully integrated, functional display which uses live links to Emerson facilities around the world, showcasing, in real-time, their vast and innovative solutions to global obstacles.
