Originally from Ghana, West Africa, Ekua moved to the United States to pursue her dream of becoming an interior designer. Though far from Ghana, her love for home continues to inform her design approach. Her final capstone project for school focused on improving the delay of National ID procurement in Ghana using design.

Ekua earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design from the Savannah College of Art & Design (SCAD) in May 2021
